I had a lot of fun making it! What I enjoyed the most in addition to shooting the footage was the creative process of it. Throughout the weekend, I was constantly thinking about the narrative and the story that I wanted to tell. What are the angles to shoot from; what I should say. Since I am still at the beginning stages of vlogging, there’s no doubt that there’s a learning curve. Especially I was never used to being in front of the camera. But hopefully I will get better over time.
The Present is the Present
Part of my goal for blogging and vlogging is to help me live life to its fullest. Over the past several years, I have come to realize the importance of living in the moment.
The present is the present.
There truly is not a better way to capture the moments with videos.
I learned a lot and gained inspiration from one of my favorite vloggers Casey Neistat. He talked about how vlogs should show one’s individuality. We can all learn from one another in terms of vlogging styles. But at the end of the day it’s all about one’s journey and the perspective of telling the story.
As I am slowly phasing and preparing myself to leave my 9 to 5, I see vlogging being another vehicle to help me pursue my passions of travel and learning different cultures. At this very moment, I don’t know if I will be focusing on vlogging or blogging. But one thing is for sure that I am having hell lot of fun doing both. We will see where this road takes me.
Without further adieu, here it is!
